Biography
Eric graduated with distinction from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in 2009 before attending Western University where he graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Law’s Juris Doctor program in 2012. Before joining Advocates LLP, Eric articled and practiced in the London office of a national business law firm.
Eric’s litigation practice incorporates a wide range of commercial matters, with an emphasis on construction litigation, business disputes, the defence of professional negligence claims, and bankruptcy and insolvency matters.
In his construction practice, Eric advises general contractors, large subcontractors, and suppliers in the ICI sector at every project stage, from tendering and bonding concerns through to delay and impact claims, contract disputes, and breach of trust and lien claims.
Eric’s business litigation practice encompasses a variety of shareholder and contractual disputes, directors’ and officers’ liability claims, commercial tenancy and real estate disputes, and injunction matters. Eric also assists creditors enforce their judgments or realize on their security, both in and out of the insolvency context.
Eric also defends professionals facing allegations of negligence and other misconduct, with a particular focus on claims against engineers and architects.
